Social Media is an important tool for the HGS's outreach to geoscientists and the community, both locally and globally. HGS has a Facebook Page, a LinkedIn Company Page, a LinkedIn Group, and a Twitter Profile (@HouGeoSoc). These accounts have thousands of followers and are continuously growing.

The Social Media Committee is chaired by Dianna Phu and supported by members Lauren Robinson, Carolina Angel, Linda Sternbach, Rosemary Laidacker, Donna Davis, and the HGS office staff. The committee shares information regarding HGS short courses, meetings, and social events, society news, and other topics of geoscience interest.
